Becoming a State Officer

Mentor the Next Generation
of New Mexico Educators as a Collegiate Student Ambassador


We welcome collegiate members to apply to become Student Ambassadors as advocates and leaders for underclassmen across the state of New Mexico.

High school students need support by those pursuing the education career pathway actively, and we want
you to be that guidance!

If you are ready to engage with students sharing the same passion as you and create connections across the community of rising educators, please read the information below to learn how to apply.

2022-2023 State Officers

Educators Rising believes in the importance of student voice, and we are excited to announce an opportunity for our members to stand out and get more involved! Becoming a state officer allows you to add leadership experience to your college applications or resumés, have your voice heard at the state and national level, and network with other rising educators and teachers from across the country.

  • Paid National Membership Fee

Eligibility

  • Have at least one year remaining in your school

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Demonstrate leadership in your chapter

  • Be regularly active on social media

  • Be available to attend state conferences and meetings (in-person and virtual)

  • Upload a letter of recommendation by your Teacher Leader or Advisor

 

What State Officers Do

  • Represent Educators Rising in your region and throughout the state and nation at various events

  • Assist with planning and hosting statewide events, including the state conference

  • Promote Educators Rising NM through social media

  • Participate in various trainings throughout the year

  • Engage EdRising NM students to have a voice in education!
