If you answered YES! to these questions, please read the information below in order to establish an Educators Rising organization at your school.

Start an Educators Rising Chapter at your Middle/High School today!

Student Benefits

Teacher Leader Benefits

Student members can:

  • represent as a student officer or ambassador at state and national levels

  • participate in state and national competitions and conferences focused on developing skills necessary throughout the education career pathway

  • access student resources available by state and national websites after registration is complete

  • network with over 600 students across the state and over 15,000 students nationally

  • connect with New Mexico colleges and universities at state conference

  • connect with colleges and universities across the US at national conference

  • complete performance-based assessments and competitions to showcase their growing skills

  • access the Educators Rising National Honor Society highlighting high-achieving students

  • meet and hear keynote speakers at state and national conferences who share their passion for education

Teacher Leader members can:

  • be added to the EdRising NM listserv to receive event and news blasts surrounding events happening across the state

  • attend our monthly meetings seen as professional learning opportunities where Teacher Leaders connect and discuss news updates with guest speakers

  • access the NM Teacher Academy curriculum in MrOwl including scope and sequence, resources, and activities (training required: Advisor Academy attendance or Summer PD)

  • receive ongoing chapter support and teacher mentorship through regional coordinators and experienced Teacher Leaders of over 5 years in the program

  • have State, District, and National leadership opportunities

  • have possible eligibility for grant funds depending on regions across the state

  • attend our annual summer professional development workshops 

National Membership (required annually for official affiliate status)

  • Register as a Teacher Leader (free!) with the National Educators Rising website.

  • Recruit students and have them register through the national website. Anyone who is at least 13 years old and interested in the field of education can join the Educators Rising network.

    • Active-level membership is $10/year. NOTE: Students must be Active-level members in order to access resources, participate in student leadership, state and national conferences, activities/events, the EdRising Honor Society, and be eligible for scholarships.
